"Kids for Christ"(KFC)-a youth group for third- through fifth-graders. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month (except in April it's the third Wednesday) from 3:15 to 5 p.m. We have Bible study, a snack, crafts, and other activities. The youth may ride bus #7 from Koch School to the church. The youth are invited to bring along a friend. |
Junior and Senior Lutheran Youth Fellowship (Junior LYF, Senior LYF)- youth groups for sixth- through eighth-graders and ninth- through 12th-graders. We try to meet at least once each month. Some meetings are combined groups and some are group specific. These meetings will consist of God's Word, activities and food! These youth are also encouraged to bring friends along to join in the fellowship. Some of the activities done in the past are leaf raking; scavenger hunts; food drives; nursing home and shut-in visits; Christmas caroling; bowling parties; lock-ins; sledding parties; Valentine’s Day suppers; Easter breakfasts; Sunday morning coffee hours; church, community and statewide servant events; national youth gatherings, and Lutheran camps. |
Sunday school for nursery through 12th grade September through May.
Vacation Bible school normally one week during the summer (the 2010 VBS will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 26-30).
Confirmation classes for fifth- through eighth-grade youth on Wednesday afternoons September through April.
Emanuel Lutheran Preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds. Morning and afternoon classes available. The preschool follows the Milbank School schedule. |
Peaches Are Coming:
We have ordered Colorado Rocky Mountain peaches for delivery in early September. We will be selling full lugs for $23 and half lugs for $11.50. Order forms for peaches are available on the tables in the back of the church, on the youth bulletin board and in the church office. You may also call the church office to place an order. |

No meeting in July. Come to Vacation Bible School! We'll meet again in August. |
Valleyfair Trip:
Our annual youth Valleyfair trip for sixth- to 12th-graders will be Monday, August 2. The cost of attendance, including bus fare, is $42 per person. Consent forms and payment slips are available on the youth bulletin board or in the church office. Seating is limited, so return your forms with payment to the church office or to Bill’s Super Valu by Saturday, July 31. Make checks payable to Emanuel Lutheran Church. |
